How our articles are written, checked and kept current.

Who writes our articles

Articles on this site are written by the Christian Protection editorial team and reviewed by a licensed life insurance agent at our agency before they are published. The byline on each article says this, along with the date it was last reviewed.

How we write

We draft articles in house with the help of AI writing tools. Every fact is then checked against the insurer's own website, policy documents or a published source, and a licensed agent reviews the article for accuracy before it goes live. We say this openly because you deserve to know how the page you are reading was made.

What we check

  • Eligibility rules for every insurer come from that insurer's own website or documents, quoted where we can.
  • Financial strength ratings name the rating agency and the date we checked them.
  • Statistics name their source, such as Pew Research Center, Lifeway Research or the National Funeral Directors Association, with a link.
  • Scripture quotations use the King James Version, which is in the public domain, unless another translation is named.

Faith and theology

Christians disagree about many things, including some questions about money. On those questions we present the main views fairly, quote the people who hold them and do not take sides on doctrine. We never claim that any church or denomination endorses us or our advice.

Insurers we do not sell

We review several insurers that we do not sell, such as Thrivent, Knights of Columbus and GuideStone. Every such review says so. We hold them to the same standard of fairness as the insurers we work with.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, call us at (305) 699-5857. We correct errors promptly and update the review date on the page.

What we will never do

  • Publish made-up reviews, testimonials or expert profiles.
  • Claim that Christians get special rates. They do not.
  • Describe a policy as an investment, or use fear to sell.
